Lindsay Lohan wants to play Wonder Woman in Joss Whedon’s upcoming movie. Yeah, right! Geeks of Doom wants to see a Wonder Woman, not a Wonder Girl!
So we’ve taken matters into our own hands, and we present our top contenders for the role of Wonder Woman!

5. Morena Baccarin: Morena’s naturally curly black locks and smooth, glowing skin already give her the perfect Wonder Woman look. Her role as a companion in Joss Whedon’s “Serenity” showed off her sex appeal as well as her abilities with a bow staff. Her newcomer status could allow her to become the face of Woman Woman in the public’s mind.

4. Charlize Theron: She looks good in tight clothing, looks good with black hair, looks good kicking butt (the only thing she doesn’t look good in, apparently, is a fake tan). She has an Academy Award, too. What else can you ask for? And maybe she can atone for “Aeon Flux.”

3. Angelina Jolie: Angelina is trying her hardest to be a Wonder Woman in real life. She’s a goodwill ambassador and even flies her own plane (though it’s totally visible!). She’s already kicked butt in “Tomb Raider,” and, at the very least, the Wonder Woman movie would get an even bigger lesbian following.

2. Jennifer Garner: Yeah, we know she’s one half of the second itteration of Bennifer, and yes, we’d have to forgive her for “Elektra,” but have you seen “Alias”? Come on, as far as actresses go, she’s a proven action goddess, with a clearly defined ability to kick ass and take names. And we know she can fiil out the costume!

1. Kate Beckinsale: Horse mouth aside, Kate is pretty hot and has the Wonder Woman look. Check out her dark curly hair in “Van Helsing” (never mind the acting). But Kate brings more than just looks; she can act. She’s also one of the few actresses to lead a successful action film, “Underworld.”

Angelina Jolie should play Wonder Woman. In fact, she should play Wonder Woman, Huntress, Spoiler, Batgirl, Robin, Green Arrow, Aqua Man, I don’t care. I’m just sayin’ Angelina Jolie needs to be filmed in tights.
I wouldn’t mind any of these women, but they have already been cast as other videogame/comic-book/cartoon characters before, so how about some totally unknown woman?
I’m surprised no one mentioned Rachel Bilson, she looked SO Hot in that Wonder Woman outfit the 1st season(?). Unfortunately she’s lost weight since then. :(

All these chicks are too skinny, except Morena. Jennifer garner might be able to pull it off because she’s got that ghetto booty. Wonder Woman is not supposed to be anorexic. Actually, come to think of it, if Charlize put on a few pounds like she did for Monster, I bet she’d do pretty well.

Morena Baccarin is my top choice, for sure!
First, kudos for even knowing who Morena Baccarin is, much less acknowledging her awesomeness. But you left one person off your list: Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia from Buffy). None of the actors on your list are physically as Amazonian as Charisma, and you certainly wouldn’t have to worry about her filling out her costume. In fact, I read a rumor last year that she was Joss Whedon’s first choice to play the roll. I would also give an honorable mention to Lucy Lawless. All in all, although the actors you suggest are all worthy, I think you were playing it a bit too safe.
i vote for mb because i get tired seeing the same faces and the same acting. she looks
younger and fresher than the others, and it creates more interest when the casting is unexpected; then, we (and she) can invent her; she’s not already invented.

I have to agree with K. These choices are primarily lame.
Morena is an okay choice but she looks too young to me. I don’t want to watch “Diana’s Creek” instead of Wonder Woman.
As Slayve suggested, I think Charisma Carpenter could be great at looking like WW but I’m not sure she could pull off the acting portion. Everything she’s been in, she’s the same character.
I think it’ll have to be an unknown.
Morena Baccarin looks perfect for the part and, unlike all the other contenders, she exudes grace and wisdom. If only she were taller and more athletic. Then she’d be my perfect Wonder Woman. The other four have me less convinced. Jennifer Garner is too cute. Angelina could be good but her celebrity would take away from the role. And you’re seriously recommending Kate Beckinsale after seeing “Van Helsing”? Are you sure she can act? And I love Charisma Carpenter but her voice would *not* work and I feel like she’s missing something.
Angelina should have played Narnia. I mean the whole movie should’ve taken place on her body.

I think Janeane Garofalo—brilliant in Mystery Men—would kick huge amounts of ass. Or to continue in that vein, Parker Posey could take that vibe even further.
I like Morena Baccarin, however… is she tall enough? The other choices are lame. You saw what Theron did to Aeon! How could you even GO there!!??
I think Gina Torres would make an AMAZING Wonder Woman. She’s sexy (but not fake), tough, tall, built, she can do humor & action & drama.
I can only assume that you haven’t seen Alana de la Garza, or she would have been tops on your list. Remedy that. Now. :)

I completely agree with the top three. Kate Beckinsale is my first choice…I have been a fan of ALIAS for the run of the show, so Jennifer Garner could certainly pull it off…Angelina is an excellent choice, too…the only other things I would add is if Cheetah is appearing in the movie then I cast my vote for Sarah Michelle Gellar as Cheetah.
I think Rachel Bilson should play Wonder Women. In the O.C. she wore a wonder women costume and she looked great in it. Plus she is so pretty and she is a great actress.

ALANA DE LA GARZA is the only rightful choice. No way these other female actors are going to do it. Like Superman, and Batman they chose relatively obscure actors to play the roles, to make it more believable than throwing Angelina Jolie into the role. C’mon now.
