I’ll go and see it just ‘cos I like action flicks, but it couldn’t possibly match the original. I just ask ‘Why’? .. Why call it Warriors if it’s going to be totally different?? Sounds like yet another typical ‘urban-gang’ film. Hoo-friggin-ray.

Why cant you just stay true to the film… remakes are bad enuff but if u want to remake an epic like this keep every thing the same! other wise u cant call it “The Warriors”!!!

I think the original warriors is a classic and could never be duplicated. I’m loyal to this movie because of creativity and the boldness by Walt Hill during a time of sensitivity in theatres about controversial material. It exposes the truth of what our world is made of. How can we turn our eyes away from that? We can watch the news and see more terrible things than this. We’re giving oscars to different movies that range from everything like animation to real life issues like homosexuality. That’s my opinion that addresses the aspect of controversial.
But as far as Tony Scott, I think he should be given a chance to reveal what the gang world of today is really like. Life changes. What was terrible, bad, controversial or considered a violation 25 or 30 years ago is now accepted as everyday living. Nobody thinks twice. It’s the same product with a different packaging. Now what we hear on the news we just flip the channel. Scott has brought us some of the best theatre entertainment that we’ve ever seen. Lots of our young people don’t even know about the warriors. Maybe this will spark them to watch the old one. Maybe they’ll see what gangs are really about and won’t get involved. There’s always the chance of corruption but you can never not tell the truth because you are afraid of it. Let’s give him a chance to tell the truth about the same issue with modern methods and just maybe we’ll smell the coffee and wake up to another world that we have forgotten or turned our eyes away from.

i am telling you right now, these fracks have no biz remaking a movie that so many of us grew up on and love. trust me the true fans will rain on your ass. CAN YOU DIG IT!!!!!!!!!!

While a remake may not even come close to capturing what the original movie did, I think it might be interesting, and worth checking out. Besides…if you don’t want to watch it…Don’t watch it.

the remake is going to be rediculous, just as said in this article”Tony Scott is actually filming is just another hip hop gangsta film that will do well on the sole merit that he�s calling it The Warriors”
nothing will top the original yeah it was kind of half assed but yet you cant touch a classic
