Spin-offs make me nervous as they always seem doomed (remember Fish? didn't think so), but I think this one has a better-than-average chance of kicking ass, despite the slump at the beginning of BSG's second season. Either way, I think it's great that the BSG empire is being expanded. TV does actually need more good sci-fi. This could really go either way.
