Bytes: Dragonriders, Lassie, Wrestling
- Anne McCaffrey’s fantasy series THE DRAGONRIDERS OF PERN is being adapted for the big screen, according to Cinescape. The books are about humans who ride dragons by “telepathically bonding with them.”
- A new Lassie movie, starring Peter O’Toole, Samantha Morton, and Peter Dinklage, will open in theaters September 1.
- Wrestling and sci-fi? That’s what you’re gonna get starting June 13. Extreme Championship Wrestling, a WWE spin-off league, will air weekly on the Sci Fi Channel. The network’s president says it will “have a nice little twist that will fit the brand.”
