I'm with Dave3 -- I have to go on record here and say that I do NOT agree with the "bland musical numbers" statement. NBC has one of the greatest soundtracks ever. But yeah, let's see how it goes in 3D.

But what are the odds that TCM and The Grudge 2 WON'T be a snoozefest, and that Saw 3 won't be exactly like Saw 2?

Nightmare Before Christmas has bland musical numbers? Um, I wholly disagree with that opinion! I find the music and songs of that movie to be innovative, sophisticated, and refreshing, especially when compared to the long line of boilerplate, vomit-inducing, Disney fodder that preceded and followed it.

I admit that Danny Elfman may at times appear to have degenerated into a parody of himself over his past few projects, with some of his seemingly generic Danse Macbre-esqe soundtracks being shoehorned where it just shouldn't be. But I'd easily go as far as saying that the Nightmare Before Christmas score is a marvelously unique, and genuine effort, which is most responsible for the film's longevity, and why it's high among the list of favorite film soundtracks of all time.

The geek in me will bare his bias now, and proudly mention that I also happen know every single note and lyric by heart.
