Love the writing on this piece. I agree with most of the choices, but one of my holiday favorites was always THE FIVE THOUSAND FINGERS OF DOCTOR T. It’s not really about Christmas, unless you think Christmas is about a maniacal white-haired guy who wants everyone to be good and do what he says….

i thought year without a santa claus should definetly be #1 cause it is the ultimate holiday movie and holiday should be added to the list and elf should be #2 i mean come on its will ferrel who is a total genius

Since this is a list of “Holiday” movies and not just “Christmas” movies, I think Planes, Trains & Automobiles needs to be on it. It’s one of the best comedies of all time and really captures the sense of the holidays, even if it is based around Thanksgiving. It’s a frickin’ classic (okay, maybe a modern classic)
