@BourneFan: This site is definitely not “run by a bunch of men.” I write for this website and I’m a chick (and actually, I’m the one who wrote the entry for the Bourne Ultimatum that you are so pumped to see!) Geeks of Doom has many contributors, both men and women. For this multi-contributor movie entry, you can see that each movie has one person’s opinion and it’s theirs to have. Hey, it’s all in good fun.

With that said, I happen to agree with you that Nancy Drew is a popular literary figure. As a preteen, I read every one of the ND hardcover books (those ugly yellow ones!). But, NOT everyone knows Nancy Drew and it’s possible that the audience targeted for the ND movie will not know who she is or understand her influence (let’s face it, there’d be no Veronica Mars without Nancy Drew).

Hey BourneFan,

In actuallity the geeks of doom is a contribtion oriented site, and on this summer movie feature there were more than 14 people who submitted contributions, both men and women.

Why T.E. Pouncey chose to categorized Nancy Drew as unknown is beyond my personal comprehension, but it was what he chose to say and we’ll stand by that and take all the razzing we deserver for it.

Regardless, I hope you enjoyed the whole geeks of doom experience and will continue to come back and read us.

Nancy Drew is an unknown character? She’s like one of the biggest girl’s literary figures of all times. I figure this site is run by a bunch of men but honestly one of you must have a sister that is literate.

Other than that- I am wicked pumped to see another Bourne Film. Again it is a movie extremely loosly based on some incredible books-that I recommend you read.

There are 13 sequels and one remake in this list. If you add the movies derived from tv-shows…not much is left of it. (some of them might be good, but it’s not that creative)

only day watch, surf’s up, nancy drew, mama’s boy, chuck and larry, stardust and fanboys to be exactly.

I’m probably going to see transformers, the simpsons and maybe “pirates” in a theater.

As for the rest… shaky divx in an obscure folder it is!!
