Scotts Bring ‘Andromeda Strain’ to A&E
Tony and Ridley Scott are adapting the Michael Crichton bestseller The Andromeda Strain as a four-hour miniseries for the A&E network. Mikael Solomon will direct from a script by Robert Schenkkan with production set to begin this summer.
Mr Bean Actor Does Dickens’ ‘Copperfield’
Rowan Atkinson (Mr Bean’s Holiday) will reunite with his Johnny English director Peter Howitt for a big-screen adaptation of the Charles Dickens novel David Copperfield. The actor will play Copperfield’s landlord Mr. Micawber in the $30 million project, which is scheduled to begin shooting in early 2008.
