Mike Mitchell is in talks with DreamWorks Animation to direct a fourth Shrek film, according to SciFi.
Shrek 4, written by Tim Sullivan with a recent rewrite by Josh Klausner, continues the adventures of the orge Shrek. The franchise is based on the children’s book Shrek! by William Steig.
Mitchell’s credits include the superhero family adventure Sky High and Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo.
People magazine has five exclusive photos with descriptions from Shrek 3, which hits theaters May 18, 2007. I do believe the photos are SPOILERS, so the link along with thumbnails of the photos are here after the jump.

I can see this becoming a series, like the old days. When movies (no television was not available) were series. I think this will work if they are spaced out and not pumped out every few months. If they do Shrek 4 they should take a while to do it and release it so that you don’t overkill it.
Wow, a fourth one already being planned?? As long as they keep up the quality I don’t mind. But come on Mike Myers, get back out there and make some other movies as well. I can only re-watch So I Married An Axe but so many times.
