After reading this, the editor seems to go to great lenths to show that he means the movie, ‘A New Hope’. When referring to Star Wars, to me it encompasses ALL the movies and genre. My bad. I understand you are doing this for the thirtieth anniversary and all, but maybe for some of us older geeks you might include ‘A New Hope’ so it is less confusing. Cheers!

Okay you people are starting to seriously piss me off. I read about half of the comments before I got sick of seeing “I am your father!!” First of all half of you got the quote wrong, it’s “No Luke I am your father.” and second of all, as the editor has said countless times THIS PAGE ONLY HAS QUOTES FROM SAR WARS EPISODE IV “A NEW HOPE” NOT FROM EPISODES I, II, III, V, or VI!!!!!! God you people are so ignorant!!!!!!!

Great list, and I loved all the debates that arose on the comment board. But my fav quote from this movie was missing, and no one seems to have mentioned it in the comments either:

“I think it’s time we demonstrate the full power of this Station” – Tarkin (if I remember correctly)

Or when Obi’s using his mind tricks on the storm trooper officer at Mos Eisley:

I love how the editors of this website started politely telling people about the “luke I am your father” quote, then just got totally arsey by the end. Kudos Editors.

My favourite quote would have to be…

“you came in that thing? you’re braver than I thought”

The whole parsec time vs distance debate was on Family Guy’s Blue Harvest. It made me smile.

By the way, has anyone seen that one episode of Scrub’s where JD’s girlfriend’s godfather is Billy Dee, a.k.a Lando Calrissian.
