Newsarama has posted the second teaser image to accompany Countdown, the weekly DC Comics series which started up right after the last issue of 52. (Click image below for larger view.)

As with the first teaser image released earlier this year (of which DC Universe Executive Editor Dan DiDio finally explained the details), everything happening in the scenerio has meaning — posing, position, lighting, and status of the characters.

Note, in DiDio’s explanation of the first teaser, he mentions the “Kirby device” between Jade and Maxwell Lord and points out that is also appears in the foreground of the second teaser.

Countdown, which began its weekly run in May, started with issue #51 and will count down to issue #0. Paul Dini writes as well as manages the book, which has several artists and additional writers working on it.
