The Film Society of Lincoln Center has announced that Wes Anderson’s film The Darjeeling Limited will open the 45th New York Film Festival on Friday, September 28th, and then be released in New York theaters on September 29th, 2007.
The emotional comedy stars Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, and Jason Schwartzman as three brothers re-forging family bonds. The eldest, played by Wilson, hopes to reconnect with his two younger siblings by taking them on a train trip across the vibrant and sensual landscape of India.
The Darjeeling Limited, which was written by Wes Anderson, Jason Schwartzman, and Roman Coppola, will see a wider release in December.
