It is total irony that this boy/man died of starvation after giving his savings to Oxfam. Two really poor and unnecessary parts of the movie were the scene eating an apple - he looks into the camera? I have no idea what that was about - it was distracting and took you out of the movie. The other was the extremely vulgar and totally unnecessary comment by the Hippie Ranie - where he says the girl who we've just begun to get to know is ready to jump a fence post. That was so freaking rude and really cheapened this movie. They ahve nothing to do with this boy's life story. Where those two things came from and why they were ever in this movie should be duly noted by any critics. Really poor judgment.
