Here at Geeks of Doom, we’re gearing up for the release of I Am Legend, Warner Bros’ film directed by Francis Lawrence and starring Will Smith, which opens on December 14, 2007 in conventional and IMAX theaters. MEET DIRECTOR FRANCIS LAWRENCE AT THE APPLE STORE
The film’s director Francis Lawrence will be doing an in-store appearance at the Apple store in SoHo in New York City on Tuesday, December 11, 2007, from 3 PM to 4 PM where he will screen scenes from the movie and discusses the making of this film. Following the discussion, Lawrence will take questions from the audience. The film’s producer and cowriter, Akiva Goldsman, will moderate the event.

ONLINE GAME
I Am Legend – Survival is a multiplayer first-person shooter/RPG game playable in the 3D virtual world Second Life. The game transports players into an eerie replica of over 60 acres of New York City set in the chaotic year preceding the movie.

Fin Tidbit!
Blade Trinity was almost a loose adaptation of I Am Legend. They were playing around with the idea of putting Blade in the middle of a vampire apocalypse where he was the only one left alive. Kinda interesting.
I’m having SUCH a hard time with this… I love me a Will Smith action flick as much as the next guy, but this book has been near and dear to my heart for nearly 15 years! It’s one of those books that I pick back up and read just about every other month… and to see it changed so DRASTICALLY… it’s killing me! If it wasn’t called “I AM LEGEND” I’d probably be stoked for it to come out.
Damn you, Hollywood…
