This doesn’t even look funny to me. Will Ferrell has been getting stale since he left Saturday Night Live. The best parts about his other films, Talledega Nights and Anchorman in particular, were the supporting cast members. Ferrell just always plays the same character: an overly loud, self-obsessed, person who is easily made fun of (white trash Nascar driver, 70’s news anchor, figure skater) and then he drives each and every joke into the ground.

Wow, that rant went on longer than I expected it to. :) Can you tell I’m not a fan?

I couldn’t agree more but I liked it better than Talladega Nights and Blades of Glory because it wasn’t trying to recreate the one liner success of Anchorman.

I do agree though that is act is running thin and that he will fizzle out his comedy just Chris Farley, Jim Carrey and Mike Myers have done. It gets stale.

I just saw this with my brother– even if I wasn’t sick, I know there is something wrong with this film. It is a very tired film.

Good points about Woody– Kingpin was so much better. Will looks like he was bored while making this one. Good review!!!

From what I’ve read, it’s not exactly showing big numbers in the box office either.
