Get real, it'll suck because JJ Abrams has interesting ideas that never get past that. He may be good at coming up with a pitch but turning it into a good story should be left to someone with skill. Think I'm being too harsh? Look at his credits.

Very skeptical about this, a new Kirk!?. I've always thought they should accidentally warp to another part of the galaxy where the Empire is and start a Star Wars vs. Star Trek war. If they can do Alien v Predator and Freddy v Jason, why not? It would at least make a shitload of money.

It is going to suck because they are not doing anything original. They are just taking the best Star Trek series and revamping it with new movie making techniques and new actors.

I like JJ Abrams and I am sure this film will be entertaining but as far as a new Trek saga I am sure we will be disappointed.

Certainly interesting news, but it doesn't necessarily mean that there will be three new Trek movies in the future. I remember reading, after the first Austin Powers movie was a hit, that Mike Meyers had signed a contract to appear in 10 of those movies.

Thank god they stopped when they were ahead.
