It’s been a little over a year since Battlestar Galactica’s revealing Season 3 finale, but the painful wait is over. Season 4 premieres on the SCI FI Channel tonight at 10PM!

Are you frakking ready!?!

Those of you who haven’t invested the many hours to refresh your memory with the Battlestar Galactica Season 3 DVD, there’s still some time to catch up before tonight’s debut.

The SCI FI Channel’s BSG site has a recap video of the entire series called What The Frak Is Going On?, so I suggest you head there immediately. When you’re done there, check out EW’s Season 3 brief cheat sheet. Between these two items, regular viewers should be ready for the show’s 10PM start time.

If you have a few more minutes, then check out Pop Candy blogger Whitney Matheson’s piece in USA Today (I heart Whitney). Now, if you’re still not ready yet for first Season 4 episode and you really want a major written recap, then set the TiVo/DVR for now and zoom back to Salon for their multi-page BSG primer.

Now for the spoilers — you want some? Salon has a preview of Season 4, while EW has BSG executive produce Ronald D. Moore decipher the Season 4 Last Supper-esque promo image (see here at top right and click for larger full view) with their interactive Crack the Clues feature.

Season 4, which according to Moore and his co-executive producer David Eick, will be the final season of the series, will run for 20 episodes, but only the first 10 have been scheduled. When the final 10 shows will air is still unknown.

May it not be another year-long hiatus …

… so say we all.
