Discuss: ‘BSG’ Season 4 Premiere

Dave3   |    |

Battlestar Galactica Cast

Battlestar Galactica
The premiere of the Knowing Glance.

Ok, the first episode is in the books. We’ve got Tigh, Anders, Tyrol, and Foster exchanging secret knowing cylon glances at every turn. Gaius and the love den of Manson followers, now seemingly vested with healing powers and believing his own hype. Kara Thrace back in the mix with her irreconcilably scratch-less Viper. Anders continuing his turn as an unapologetic douchbag… etc.

So, let’s discuss. Leave a comment to tell us your thoughts on the BSG season 4 premiere.

i was slightly disappointed, the episode seemed rushed.. as if they cut out 10 minutes, especially with Starbuck towards the end. still though, it’s just one episode so i’m sure the season will get better.

the crazy chicks who worship Balthar, just piss me off.. he’s still a “love to hate” guy, hopefully since he seems remorseful of his misdoings, he’ll finally expose all his various “crimes against humanity” to the people before the show ends.

It is off to a good start. It left me wanting more.
The Starbuck and Baltar storylines are very curious.

Aside from having to wait a year and a half, so that I can wait another week, just to see the premiere, I thought it went fairly well…

Starbuck’s journey/effects is highly reminiscent of the original series “Ancients” storyline though…. not sure about that part, if that is how it works it, could be interesting I suppose.

Personally, I’m hoping Baltar is the fifth Cylon – it would make just SO much sense.

I was thrilled with the premiere, but I also agree that it seemed rushed. Any speculations about the ‘Raiders’? Have they always been lobotomized? Or is this a recent thing due to them all bailing when they detected Anders?

I was pretty impressed but you’re right it did feel a tad rushed.
Really like Balthar’s story – just hope they don’t go too far with the whole jesus thing and arrive on Earth around 30bc.

After waiting a year they could have shot an hour of paint drying and I still would have loved it.

  6. John de Michele Says:

I thought it was interesting that the child had viral meningitis. According to Wikipedia, it’s usually much less severe than other types, and being the brainiac that he is, I’m sure Baltar was well aware that the child was likely to get better.

  7. Ozymandias Says:

“I thought it was interesting that the child had viral meningitis..”

Actually she says the child has Viral Encephalitis. Which usually involves Death.

    Baltar is still my homie.
