Justin Marks is a busy man in the realm of screenwriting right now. He’s working on various projects, including new takes on familiar territories such as He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and Streetfighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, as well as the long-awaited Green Arrow: Escape from Supermax, among others.
Now, he’s signed on to write a very interesting adaptation of a cult comic book called Hack/Slash, which was written by Tim Seeley. The concept here is that there is a heroine named Cassie Hack, who hits town after town hunting down slasher killers; think like a Buffy meets Halloween hybrid, and Michael Myers is the hunted.
Consider me intrigued!
Directing will be Todd Lincoln — who’s done a lot of music videos and was a Production Assistant to the Visual Effects team on From Dusk Till Dawn — who will be making his feature film debut. It’s being produced by Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter.
No further details, but do keep your eyes on this one.
