Yahoo! Movies has premiered the trailer for Batman: Gotham Knight, the animated direct-to-DVD release due out on July 8, 2008.
The DVD is a tie-in with Warner Bros.’ upcoming Batman feature, The Dark Knight and consists of six anime-style segments, written by Josh Olson, David Goyer, Brian Azzarello, Greg Rucka, Jordan Goldberg, and Alan Burnett.
The six interlocking stories, produced by Bruce Timm, will bridge the gap between events in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight and show Bruce Wayne’s progression from novice crimefighter to The Dark Knight. It also features several Gotham City villains, including Scarecrow, Killer Croc, and Deadshot.

Isn’t Nolan’s Universe supposed to be ‘realistic’? So how does Croc fit in with that?
Reminds me very much of the Animatrix. Looks awesome.
This will look great sitting next to my BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM DVD!
