As I sit in the IGN Theater at the New York Comic Con’s panel for Frank Miller’s The Spirit having just watched the teaser trailer premiere for the film, it looks like MTV has posted the teaser on their site.

MTV’s Kurt Loder moderated The Spirit panel, which featured director/writer Frank Miller and star Eva Mendes. We were told that the film has many visual references to Spirit creator Will Eisner’s visual style; “watch out for a certain sewer grate” is what we were told.
Mendes talked a little about her role as the sexy jewel thief Sand Saref who’s been married 15 times and has killed every one of her husbands. Check out the image of Mendes and Miller at the New York Comic Con panel here below.

Based on the Will Eisner comic book series, The Spirit big-screen adaptation stars Samuel L. Jackson, Gabriel Macht, Scarlett Johansson, and Eva Mendes.
The film hits theaters on January 16, 2009.
