Went to see Iron Man tonight and, as expected, it was awesome! A review will be posted by our own Wordslinger, so be on the lookout for it soon.
Just wanted to warn you all to stay put until after the film’s end credits have finished, because there’s an extra scene.
I don’t want to go into anymore detail, because if this is the first you’re hearing of this extra scene, that means you haven’t read all of the spoilers about it yet.
Trust me, just stay in your seat!

After seeing the movie, I can say: 1) way to make a comeback Robert Downey, Jr.!; 2) starting off a movie with an AC/DC song is one way to hook me in immediately; 3) Jon Favreau, you sir, are officially trustworthy; 4) Shaun Toub, oh the things you can do with a car battery — if I’m ever in captivity, I’d want you to be there to have my back; 5) Gwyneth Paltrow, bravo for a performance that made me forget that you’re only in it for the paycheck; 6) Terrence Howard, sorry, but aside from your one foreshadowing line, I just wasn’t feeling you; 7) Jeff Bridges, thank you for not Nick Nolte-ing your role — you were totally badass!; and 8) Clark Gregg, you are my new favorite “Hey, I know that guy. Where do I know that guy?” guy.

Holy crap! THE AVENGERS!! Awesome teaser…and makes sense with Robert Downey Jr. doing a cameo in the upcoming Incredible Hulk movie as well. Look out for an Avengers movie sometime soon…

@jake It’s a spoiler for people who don’t want to know anything BEFORE they see a movie. Lots of people like that in the world.
@Albert I didn’t “miss” anything. I chose to leave it out b/c. I wasn’t going to put anything about who was in the end credits, but compromised by adding the small spoiler. Again, a lot of people don’t want to do everything BEFORE they see a movie.
@Fan I, of all people in the known universe, KNOW that Iron Man is Black Sabbath. Iron Man begins the end credit roll, and as far as I remember, they don’t play the part that says “I am Iron Man,” which sucks (yes, it was in the trailers, but not in the movie itself). The AC/DC song I was referring to is “Back in Black” and it’s right in the beginning when Tony Stark is in the military jeep. There’s a radio in there with him and that’s the song that’s playing. Btw, another cool song in the movie was Suicidal Tendencies’ “Institutionalized.” I wonder how many people knew that song. This is the one where the singer (Mike Muir) says “All I wanted was a Pepsi, but she wouldn’t give it to me.” The music in this movie is kickass!

I LIKE the idea of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury… In fact, I thought the Fury in the “Ultimate” marvel comics and in the animated Avenger’s movie was DELIBERATELY designed to look like Mr. Jackson.
One thing’s for sure…Jackson will make a BETTER Fury than David Hasselhoff did in that god-awful TV movie….

Also, I did nudge my uncle at that part when “INSTITUTIONALIZED” started playing and went HEY I LIKE THIS SONG. IT’S INSTITUTIONALIZED. YES.
Of course, I’m a total geek, because the only reason I love it is from playing Guitar Hero. A lot. But it’s a great song, regardless :)
The movie was good…but it was not worthed to sit there until after the credits are over just to watch that 1 min extra scene which was pretty lame.
