Frank Miller To Give Christmas ‘Spirit’

The SpiritIn some interesting news, the new Frank Miller project, The Spirit, has been moved up from its original January 16, 2009 release date to a white, white Christmas Day release.

This Christmas 2008 date was previously held by a little J.J. Abrams flick called Star Trek XI, which was moved to May 8, 2009.

Apparently Lionsgate is very confident with their product and are rarin’ to go! I’m not sure I think this is a great move, as the trailer to me looked a little… well, choppy; but hey, if they feel it’s a good move, then more power to them. Hopefully it all works out in the end!

The Spirit stars Gabriel Macht, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Eva Mendes, and Jaime King and is based on the popular comic book by Will Eisner.
