I don't think anything is able to recapture the spirit of old movies. Part of that spirit IS their age. This movie, while having a different feel than the trilogy, was nonetheless fun as hell. Furthermore, everyone's pursuit of nostalgia blinded them from the amazing cinematography and color of the film. It was a great tribute to the B-Movies of the '50s. I agree with Henchman21.
