Judd Apatow’s next movie will be a romantic comedy drama (or a sweet new Romedrama as I just happened to make up this very moment) about stand-up comedy, where Apatow got his start.

Now we know that the title of the movie will be — Funny People.

Excellent.

Joining a cast that already includes Apatow alums Seth Rogen and Leslie Mann, will be Eric Bana and Adam Sandler, along with more Apatow alums Jonah Hill and Jason “Use The” Schwartzman.

This is shaping up to be a very interesting project with all the Apatow pieces in place, but at the same time there’s some outside elements going on.

My interest is piqued.
