MTV has posted a five-minute segment from Batman: Gotham Knight, the animated direct-to-DVD tie-in to the upcoming Batman feature film, The Dark Knight.

The anime-style movie, which will be released on DVD on July 8, 2008, consists of six interlocking stories each written by a different screenwriter — Josh Olson, David Goyer, Brian Azzarello, Greg Rucka, Jordan Goldberg, and Alan Burnett — which will bridge the gap between events in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.
