Rock Band Rush To Perform On ‘The Colbert Report’ Tonight! - Updated With Video!

Empress Eve   |    |

RushUPDATE: Check out the video of the segment with Rush right here below!!!

I don’t get to do a lot of writing about music here on Geeks of Doom, so our readers might not know where I stand music-wise. You might have seen my pieces on Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Testament, as well as my declarations of devotion to heavy metal. Those of you who really know me, know that, like Manowar, I’m made of steel, not clay.

But one thing you readers might not know about me is that Rush, the Canadian rock band famous for the tune “Tom Sawyer,” is my favorite band of ALL time and has been since I was 9 years old. I WORSHIP RUSH. And yes, I’ve taken quite the ribbing over the years for it, but I care not. Rush fucking rules.

Which is why I’m prompted to tell you that the trio will be performing on tonight’s episode of The Colbert Report on the Comedy Central channel at 11:30pm ET/PT.

This is the Canadian band’s first U.S. television appearance since 1975! The fact that they chose, after 30 years, to perform on The Colbert Report of all shows, is friggin’ awesome (btw, I LOVE Stephen Colbert).

If you don’t catch the episode tonight, it will be repeated a few times during the week. See below for more information.
