OK, so it’s not the greatest picture ever, BUT here is our first look at Jason Voorhees in the upcoming Friday the 13th remake courtesy of EW.
This is only the beginning, most writers who were able to go on a set visit for the Platinum Dunes remake raved about how good everything looked, including Jason, so I’m sure as we see some more up close shots and actual movement, it will be even that much more exciting!
Friday the 13th hits theaters on February 13, 2009.
Of course, a true geek would be appalled and then go and watch the original while sulking ;)
Eh, most of the original ones, while great, are still really cheesy, so I’m hoping on this new look to bring some good scary-ness to the character.
At first I was worried this would be awful, but from what I hear, it’s shaping up to be really bad-ass and really true-to-form.
I say, only a true geek would be completely giddy with excitement for this.
Maybe that’s just me.
I’m conflicted. I really don’t dig Michael Bay’s stuff, BUT at the same time there’s no real way you can screw up a hockey mask killer.
Wait. I said there was no way you could screw up giant robots either… hrn. I’ll wait till more is being leaked.
The world isn’t ready for a metro sexual jason, this blows. Bay keeps talking about how funny his friday the 13th is as well, this not good.
