The simplest answer to your question is that at the time this article was published, the official site has NOT been updated with the new character images. The versions here were the only ones available.

But I would like to point out that the official site has NOT put up the posters, but have put up wallpaper versions. This is not the same. These posters have the movie’s release date under the character’s faces. The wallpapers– which are a different dimension than the posters — have this info to the side of the images.

Fear not, once we received the info from the official site, we updated about it HERE.

Why post those fuzzy scans from TrekMovie when the Official Star Trek Movie site has high-quality wallpapers of these movie posters? Look in the Downloads section of the official site... startrekmovie.com :)
