Nu Image/Millennium Films unveiled yesterday the first look at Rose McGowan as Red Sonja in the form of two teaser posters.

Production is set to begin in October on Red Sonja, which will be presented by Robert Rodriguez and directed by Douglas Aarniokoski. Filming locations are being scouted in Michigan and throughout the United States, and additional casting is also being considered.
The news about the film, based on the character created by Robert E. Howard, was announced last month (see ‘Red Sonja’ Moves Forward With Rose McGowan).
According to Adam Quigley from /Film’s report on the SDCC panel, Rodiguez will not be directing Red Sonja because he’s contractually obligated with The Weinsteins for his next movie.
Synopsis
In her return we find Red Sonja, a young girl risen from the ashes of tragedy to become the most feared woman warrior of all time. The mythical red-head blindly seeks vengeance on those who destroyed her family. In her path of destruction she discovers a larger purpose for her unearthly powers: to save all Hyrkania from the villainous Kulan Gath.
