It looks like Quentin Tarantino has finally found a studio to stand behind his Inglorious Bastards with the news that Universal will team up with The Weinstein Co. to produce the long-talked about WWII movie.
At Cannes 2008, Tarantino made the very bold statement that his movie would be at Cannes 2009 (see Tarantino Starts ‘Inglorious Bastards’?). He has since been on a mad dash to actually try and keep his promise. He’s finished the script (which has gotten a lot of positive feedback) and now has the studio support which seemed to be the big question in all of this.
Does this mean we can FINALLY look forward some Tarantino Bastards? Is the only thing left to do is wait for the great casting news we’re guaranteed to get and wait for all the images to start flying out?
