News is coming in from Mississippi that Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman was involved in a serious car accident on Sunday night. According to Milla Borden, spokeswoman for the Memphis Regional Medical Center, Freeman is a patient at the hospital, and he is in serious condition.
Apparently, Freeman was traveling with a female passenger when the Nissan Maxima veered off the road. Freeman attempted to correct, but caused the car to flip several times. Reports suggest though that Freeman was talking on site, before he was taken to hospital.
Winner of the Oscar for Million Dollar Baby in 2005, Freeman has played everyone from God in Bruce Almighty to Lucius Fox in Christopher Nolan‘s Batman movies, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.
An actor with a massive fan base, Freeman is said to have crashed in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, about 100 miles south of Memphis. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Morgan, to his four children and family.
