‘Justice League’ Still in Production… bugger!

MajorJJH   |    |

One of the better pieces of news this year was the fact that the Justice League of America movie had been dropped to the backburner at DC. Sadly, it looks like they’ve decided to put it, as well as director George Miller, back on the frontburner (or whatever).

ww

The news is buried in an article in the Herald Sun, a newspaper down my way of the world, that brings with it no good news whatsoever for fans of well made movies. Entitled “Megan Gale stunned Oscar director George Miller,” the story is about how supermodel turned wannabe-actress Megan Gale won George Miller over in her auditions for the role of Wonder Woman.

“She got the job because she blitzed her screen test. I mean, I had no idea she was so good,” Miller said. “She walked into our office in Sydney and read the part. She has done some Italian movies, but I didn’t think she would be as good as she was. But once she read we all looked around at each other and said, ‘Well, there’s no question’.”

Never mind the fact that the movie is back on, but at what level does DC believe that bringing in a supermodel who, yes, let’s face it, does manage to fill the busty-leggy qualifications for Wonder Woman… oh. That’s why!

With rumors of Green Lantern in production, and The Flash maybe in the future, DC and WB had a real chance to do this properly. All they have to do is postpone any JLA movie, and make all the individual movies first.

No, I’m not overly happy, even despite the preponderance of Australian’s involvement in this (Miller, Gale, and Teresa Palmer).

  1. Jason Says:

Miller has a history of making good movies so I’m willing to give him the benefit of doubt.

  2. korollocke Says:

we would die of old age waiting for all the individual films to be done so they can do jla the movie, would you have rather had individual films for all the x-men characters before they made the x-men movies?
