Rumors that 62-year-old actress Cher was in discussions to play the role of Catwoman in a third Batman movie, to be directed by Christopher Nolan, have turned out to be entirely false. The rumor, which was started by the Telegraph on Sunday, stated that Cher was in talks and that she would join a cast including Johnny Depp as the Riddler.
The Telegraph quoted a studio executive as saying, “Cher is Nolan’s first choice to play Catwoman. He wants to her [sic] to portray her like a vamp in her twilight years.”
However, upon seeing this rumor, I immediately contacted WB and asked them to confirm or deny this story; it seemed nothing short of ridiculous. The response I got was clean cut:
“Those casting rumors are untrue.”
So though I would like to see Johnny Depp as The Riddler (that idea is inspired), I don’t think there is anyone who would want to see Cher as Catwoman.

I love how people say Cher is ‘too old’ when she’s only 62 :/ NINETY is old, and Cher’s decades away from that. She’s still got the body of a teenager and has tons of energy - enough to perform at Caesars Palace 4 nights a week! Would’ve been an AWESOME movie with her in it.

Screw all yall cat haters at there! Cher is the coolist cat in town and would make a great Vamp Cat Woman. No Better Choice! Bad Idea? I think not… She’s a fekin Oscar winner working four nights a week in Vegas doing a killer show (saw it oppening night). This role would be a piece of cake for her and I can see the golden reviews now, and perhaps another oscar nod. They’d be damned and dooomed to not go with Cher as cat woman.
