I honestly felt the finale was pitiful at best. All the useless flashbacks, the Starbuck screwup, Abandoning their technology, Chief Tyrol becoming a Scot Highlander and passing on resurrection to the Klan Macleod…..wished I had wrote this article about why it was aweful, but someone beat me to a spot on review of why it sucked.

I’ve gotta agree on “the SCI FI channel sucks”, I can’t wait to see what happens, this is just pissing me off.
It blows my mind how big company’s purposely push themselves off a cliff.

It’s not that it should or needs to be extended; it’s that the property has been overlooked, underfunded and poorly handled from the start when it’s pretty much the only worthwhile thing aired on SCIFI (definitely in terms of original content) and in fact is one of the best-written and executed shows on TV in general (especially when you take HBO & Showtime premium content out of the equation. NBC UNI is an obnoxious parent company. I’d also like to comment that BSG is not a space opera, certainly not in the traditional sense, which is what made it successful and what prevents other Space Opera stories from being timely (that being a lack of evolution and originality). The only surprising thing about it is that they found a showrunner who took an old license and managed to make it hugely compelling and modern. Once that happened the business plan should have bolstered the work, but the network failed the content.

Damn “SciFi” channel has little or nothing to do with Science Fiction and ought to be called “Cheapo Monster Movie Channel”.

I have ZERO respect for them, and they have ZERO credibility with me.

The fact that they managed to host the best SF show in recent years is a fluke, nothing more than Hollywood politics.

Screw ‘em. Once we get channel-by-channel selection of cable channels, they’re so far out of my loop, tey won’t see me (in Keplerian terms) for millions of years. I’ll just download their (inevitably pirated) movies off the ‘net that I actually have an interest in and be done with them.

I’m sick this nonsense.

KOROLLOCKE: “thought it would last”? This is about the final episodes being delayed, not that the show is ending. Everyone knew the show is ending; it’s a remake. The show ending has been planned for quite a while.

Also, “surprised it got as far as it did”? BSG is only one of the best shows on TV currently. I guess go back to Project Runway and voting for your favorite Idol while the adults watch quality television.

Frak me. This show absolutely rocked. Some episodes were better than others, which is common in shows that are serial in format like Lost.

Writers and Actors on BSG, my wife and I love you. You guys all pulled us into the BSG universe everytime we watched. It is amazing.
