The Battlestar Galactica cast is scheduled to begin shooting September 8, 2008 the second TV movie that will first air on the SCI FI Channel and then immediately be released to DVD.
The 2-hour movie will act as an extended episode and is set in the “Lay Your Burdens Down” time period, according to Michael Hogan, who plays Colonel Saul Tigh on BSG.
In the Saturday panel at Dragon*Con 2008, Edward James Olmos said the story would address what happened between his character Bill Adama and Laura Roslin (Mary McDonnell) on New Caprica. The DVD movie, Olmos said, “is about how Adama gets laid.”
Olmos will also assume directing duties for the as-of-yet untitled TV movie.

this is B-S. I can’t believe that they would waste a 2 hour movie on lay down your burdens! Smallville has a more exciting story line than that. It seems that good shows are throwen into the closet and crapy shows are pushed on the public. They should have made a motion picture to finish battlestar and its revived legacy! What as viewers can we do to smarten up universal and that damed SCI FI channel! mabey mail them peanuts like they did with jerico! Any way standing applause for BSG, But once again in the end it has been miss managed and taken for granted. Hero’s survied this split season once but BSG has survived this twice!
