But got no further than the first page. It kept saying, "Do not read this book - you do not want to read this book," and I figured the author knew better than I, so I put it down. I liked what I saw in the trailer for the flick, but if it's as tragically "hip" as the first page of the book, I'm just worn-out with false cynicism.
