I’m afraid that this movie was just another attempt by some director that thinks they are more artistic than the rest of us to peddle their wares. I have never been a fan of the first person camera angles although there are those that will make this another cult classic. I have to agree with some of the previous comments that the camera shots were horrible, as they are in all first person. This movie gave me a headache and sore eyes trying to keep up with what was going on. What happened to going to the movies and being entertained.

If you can’t put up with realistic camera angles and shots don’t watch it! Seriously if you expect some streamlined no shaking camera shots while running up stairs go watch something else. This movie makes everything look realistic! Also the comment about the lady breathing hard and freaking and ultimately getting caught….think about it! She’s been running from those things for hours, thought she was okay atleast twice, then at the end she couldn’t see anything but knew there was something there and was freaking having a panic attack! I don’t know if even I could have stayed perfectly still at that point either, I probably would have snapped as well. Seriously you’ve been too conditioned to the typical normal horror films that you can’t see the greatness of this movie.

This film han’t come out in the UK yet, but I really recommend everyone to watch the oringnal [REC], it’s the best film I’ve seen this year.

I’m rarely tend to watch the American remakes of films especially Asian and horror film, but after reading your review I think I’ll give it a look when it come out over here.

I did not like this movie….the camera shots were horrible. when i got done i was so dizzy from all of the shaking of the camera, and sick of hearing the lady rant and pant and breathe hard when she should have shut up so they wouldnt have gotten caught. i give it a 1 my boyfriend gave it a 2 and honestly the only thing i heard from others that watched it and would have to agree….was that we wanted our money back.

I saw this movie the weekend it came out! OMG greatest ever, I was so scared the whole time. You really do feel like you are there in the building. BEST HORROR MOVIE EVER.

I saw it this weekend and liked it. Did not LOVE it, but I thought it was definitely worth the money I spent for a ticket and a drink. The crowd was amusing too. Everyone was screaming – even the guys! I would give it 3 out of 4 stars. Good to see once, but I don’t think I will bother buying it when it comes out.

Okay so this movie really does rock your face off! I’m a fan of suspense filled horror and this movie delivers. There are times where you forget to breath and find yourself holding your breath with the people on the screen. The lead actress Jennifer Carpenter is brand new to me, but did an AMAZING JOB! She appeared to be truly horrified and those shakes looks completely real. While the movie doesn’t answer or clear up a lot of questions you have throughout the movie, it answers just enough to keep you from saying “this movie’s going no where!”

Over all I second the vote for this movie being the #1 horror movie of 2008, and I bet it’s atleast two-four more years till one beats it for me.

I was already looking forward to seeing this movie, and this review just makes me more excited. I haven’t seen a good horror film in a long time, maybe even since the Blair Witch Project.
