I dug the movie and this review. The title I’m on the fence about. Sure saying it is kinda clunky, but it tells you what the story is about. As for the twist ending, I guessed it from the start just because it is a Clive Barker story.

This movie sucked. The effects were over-the-top to the point of being hokey. True, the acting wasn’t god awful but the girlfriend was laughably bad. You mention how the city looks nothing like New York (chrome subway cars? The “green line”? Have any of these people even been to New York?) and you don’t seem to have a problem with it. The problem I have with it is that Cooper’s character talks about how he wants his photographs to show the city how it really is, but then the movie itself doesn’t show the city anything like the way it really is. The dialogue was awkward, especially the little opening monologue thing from Cooper’s girlfriend. But really my biggest problem is the whole thing with the way they showed New York.

Great review. I loved this movie also. BTW…it’s based on a short story by Clive Barker called The Midnight Meat Train, from his Books of Blood collection of stories. Hence the title of the film. But, I do agree….the title could have been changed for the film.
