How excited would you be to find out that Ridley Scott was making a new Alien movie? Yeah, us too. Unfortunately, we’re not quite there yet, but be patient.
This is one of those stories that is so far from happening, that you really have to take it as lightly as possible and just hope and pray it becomes a reality. On the heels of the announcement that Robert Rodriguez and his Troublemaker Studios would be producing a reboot entitled Predators, it is being reported that Mr. Scott might just be pondering his involvement in a new Alien prequel.
IESB got a hold of Fox co-chairman Tom Rothman and asked him what was going on. Rothman replied:
There’s been some talk. Ridley Scott, Ridley is right now working on Robin Hood, but I think he’s toying with the idea and that would be great for us. I mean, it’s always been a matter of, really, if you can get the originator to do it that would be the greatest thing, so I’ve got my fingers crossed, all of them.
If you recall, this isn’t the first time that a new Alien movie have been discussed. A while back Sigourney Weaver spoke about how her and Scott had discussed it, and how the making of Alien vs. Predator likely killed the chances for more movies. Obviously, if Ridley Scott comes up with a great prequel story, then Weaver is hard to work into it, but just Ridley Scott making an Alien movie with anyone else on this planet is big-time exciting.

OOOOoooooh dont tease us! But yeah a prequel is the only option IMO to further the alien franchinse (minus any more AVP)
I don’t think we can handle another PG-13 ALIEN movie at this point.
A PG-13 Alien movie is like having a bike without wheels. It just wont/cant work.
I think this will make a great way to bring back the real feel of the ALIEN movies. No crap AVP and no PG 13 /
I think we can take alien 5 ( dont call it Alien 5 ) lets get it starting from the end of ALIEN 3, Meaning That ALIEN 3 AND ALIEN RESURRECTION NEVER REALLY WENT DOWN, what I mean by this is that the new alien film opens after ALIENS and we find that something did go wrong on the mother ship and this led to ripley’s cryotube to melfunction and putting her into some kind of Coma Newt and Hicks have adged but not to much. Ripley then awakes out of this nightmare coma ( The nightmare being alien 3 and resurrection ) She wakes up to a much bigger nightmare . I AM WORKING ON THE STORY.
you guys who ruin these legend older movies should have learned by now. they need to stick to the basics, classic horror , not so many special effects with the aliens , it ruins terrifying screen beauty , they need to get to do a film like aliens or even alien, the two best films,they need to go back to old movie props, like m41a pulse rifles , or the m56 smart gun, and same sound effects!! same type of colonial marine bad asses, the rock or dwayne johnnson for instance would make the best hicks type of charecter for the new aliens movie, which were the best from james cameron aliens, they need to bring back that dark clausterphobic feel , like the nostramo ship, or lv426 or both combined, bring back paul anderson, or ridley scott , and cameron , those guys new what they were doin, all these newbie directors who have there own imagination on aliens should be is just wrong, they need to bring back the old feel plain and simnple………..lets rock!!!!!!!!!
