I agree 100% with burning_chrome. Maybe once the contract expires with fox studios and marvel studios can get it back they can re-make the entire franchise much like what has happened with the batman franchise. Until that happens fox will butcher the x-men franchise for all it’s worth. We’ve all seen what marvel studios can do with their own works ( Iron Man ) so we know they can do a better job than fox.

Fox won’t go knocking on Singer’s door begging him to return. As long as movies in the X-Men franchise are generating profit overall, the studio execs could not care less about characterization, CGI crappiness, or any attempt to intelligently translate source materials for the big screen.

IMDb has David Goyer directing Magneto; let’s all pray this does not come to fruition. While Goyer produces excellent screenplays, he’s proven with his past ventures that he doesn’t understand pacing and the importance of character development, key aspects in telling the story of such a beloved villain. Blade Trinity made me throw-up in disappointment.
