Is it only me who thought his preformance in X-Files was totally awesome, showed he had the mettle for drama and depth, something he rarely gets to show.

If you’re going to mention small TV parts like Homicide, than you can’t leave out his role on X-Files.

Does anyone remember his part in one of the best shows of the 90’s. In Homicide, Life on the Streets, he played the son of a murdered retired Baltimore Policeman in a two episode arc that should have been up for an Emmy award. He really showed his abilities in a strait dramatic turn. Look for it on DVD or online somewhere if you haven’t already seen it.

I chose Elvis in BUBBA HO-TEP because in my heart I think it’s Bruce’s best performance to date. Ash is an icon no doubt but I didn’t base this list on iconic status. Even if I did Elvis would still win because no one beats the King, not even Ash, and that’s a fact fellow geeks. Plus I don’t watch “Burn Notice”, hence my exclusion of Sam Axe.

Ash is number one on any list of Bruce Campbell roles. Anything else is just trying not to be obvious. Elvis is a solid runner up, but Bubba Ho-Tep didn’t have the pop culture impact of Evil Dead. Not even close. And Autolycus all the way back and 8? And no Sam Axe? Furthermore, no mention of his hilarious send-up of himself in the otherwise mediocre “My Name is Bruce”?

IMHO- I’d lose Hudsucker and add Burn Notice. Drop back Bubba-Hotep (amazing Film, so-so flick)back to 10 or drop it completely and throw in Army of Darkness at #1

Good list. I’m glad to see Escape from L.A here. I never even knew that was him until I saw his name in the credits and went back and rechecked. But Bubba Ho Tep ahead of Brisco AND Ash? Blasphemy! :)
