The trailer has provided enough information for anyone well acquainted enough with modern thrillers to guess the few directions this film can go in. The film lost its quality of mystique by overselling itself through a trailer. It has taken out the element of ‘who’ and will emphasize the ‘how’ and ‘why’ (a very modern quality). Perhaps the film may excell thematically but given its source material as a pop bestseller, I doubt that. Having said all of that, I have yet to see the film or read the book. I would like to be pleasently suprised. I like Dicaprio and Scorsese has had his moments.

Why is it that people just assume that a trailer has spoiled a movie without having seen one single frame of that movie aside from said trailer?

No matter what the trailer gives away, I’m still seeing it. It might actually be a decent film.

I was loving it until they gave away the whole damn movie. I am so sick of modern trailors.
