I liked it, no matter how you slice it, Transformers is is rocking the Giant Fighting Robot market right now. As for cutting it short? Hell no, it isn't often you get to see a movie with built in restroom breaks for your $15 64oz soda.

Wow, I can't believe how BAD this movie is. I mean, I'm one who can really enjoy mindless action when that's what it's meant to be. But at 2 1/2 hours and the ridiculous love story, this movie just didn't know when to stop.

I can believe that giant transforming alien robots can come to Earth and fuck shit up, but I canNOT believe that Wickwicky wouldn't tell his hot piece of ass, way of his league girlfriend that he loves her. C'mon!!!!!!!

And the dialogue - good lord!

I really liked the first movie, I felt like I could care about the characters. Hell, I cared about the robots! But in this movie, I was hoping the Sun would blow up and we'd be rid of all of them.

this movie needed to be a half hour shorter (this could have been achieved by cutting all of megan fox's dialogue).
the effects seemed to meet the industry standard, so i don't believe that michael bay should be congratulated for this. bay is like a kid with ADD and a criminal record - in order to get results, you would have to watch over his shoulder every second to make sure he didn't destroy anything. unfortunately for us it is obvious he was given a vault of money to make this movie with little or no guidance from anyone superior to him. unfortunately for bay he is not brilliant enough to demand creative control.

brainless yet enjoyable? yes. could a first-rate director have done more with it? without a doubt.

I have to admit tho, watching this film in iMax was absolutely incredible. The forest fight scene was basically life size, and it was at that moment when I realized that I felt my money was well spent.

Sitting there watching actual size Transformers fight in front of me was worth my $10, I would even pay that $10 to see just the iMax scenes again, without all the inbetween dialogue parts.

Was the film stupid? Dude, of course it was, the content of this particular IP simply cannot be put on film in a serious way. Sorry, can't happen. Giant alien robots based on a childs toy line fight a civil war on earth. That even sounds stupid. And it is.

Is it fun to watch? I thought so.
Did you get your money worth of "summer blockbuster entertainment"? Uh, yea. And probabaly enough for next summer.

Stupid, yes.
Worth $10 at the iMax matinee, absolutely.

Revenge of the Fallen should have been called "The Hiding of The Fallen Until It Was Safe To Show His Face On Earth" - The Fallen shows up twice for a total of what, fifteen minutes? They should have left Megatron alone and let The Fallen wreak havoc on Earth to show off how bad ass he was supposed to be. There wasn't any "Revenge" at all. It was weak.

Walk towards the light Shia, walk towards the light...oh wait, Michael Bay needs you back for another soulless child-hood destroying sequel...so, no robot heaven for you!

After seeing G.I. Joe: Resolute, I'm all for Warren Ellis writing any big screen adaptations of 80s or 90s cartoons.
