Nintendo announced last month that it would be lowing the price of its highly popular Nintendo Wii game console by $50.
So, right now, the Nintendo Wii is available for only $199!
Nintendo said they felt like many potential users were priced out of the gaming experience with the original $250 price, which has been the cost since its release in 2004.
Nintendo will also release New Super Mario Bros. Wii
on November 15; it’s available for pre-order now. Amazon has a special right now where you get $10 off a future video game purchase when you order New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii will be the first Mario Bros. game to accommodate four players at the same time.
(I know a certain nephew who’s going to want this and a certain aunt and uncle who will be playing it with him.)
You know how people are hooked on World of Warcraft, spending every waking free moment playing it? Well, Super Mario Bros. is my WoW and has been since… well, I don’t want to say how long! I desperately want to put this new game on my Wish List, but fear that my life as I know it will cease to exist as I will (seriously, I WILL) surely end up devoting countless hours of play time to it. Perhaps I should not get it for myself and just play on the nephew’s. That might be my safest option.
I sold my ps3 and gave my wii to my ex. I just get too addicted to games!
And I would def choose Mario bros over WoW. Playing WoW is like giving your soul away to cyberspace.
I am still not sold on the wii yet. I want one but $200 is still too much for my wallet. And Brutal Legend is due to be released very soon. And chopping up Metal-Demons to the sounds of Iced Earth and Priest are quite compelling. And farking King Diamond is in there for christmas sake! KING FAKING DIAMOND!
