Deal: Pixar’s Combo Sale: Up, Cars, Monsters Inc.

Empress Eve   |    |

Disney/Pixar's Up blu-rayDon’t be surprised if you see more and more ‘Deal’ posts here at Geeks of Doom for the next month or so, because not only am I in full-on Christmas bargain-hunting mode, but it appears that online retails are practically giving their merchandise away!

Therefore, whatever bargains I find, I’m going to pass on to you, dear readers, typically along with a little math to help you figure out its worth (I try my best, but please don’t hold my math accountable!).

Earlier this week, I wrote about the pre-order deal on Disney/Pixar’s Up; now, a new Pixar sale is happening from right now!

In this new Pixar DVD/Blu-ray Sale, there are three ways to save:

  • Order Up on DVD and buy any other Pixar DVD from the list and save $7.50 off your total purchase at checkout.
  • Order the Up DVD/Blu-ray Combo Pack and buy any other Pixar Blu-ray disc from the list and save $15 off your total purchase at checkout. To receive the $15 discount, enter the promo code UPBLURAY at checkout.
  • Buy the Up DVD/Blu-ray Combo Pack and both Monsters, Inc and Cars on Blu-ray from the list and save $26 off your total purchase at checkout. To receive the $26 discount, enter the promo code PIXARBLU at checkout.

Allow me to do the math for you on that last one:

$62.47 [original total for 3 Blu-rays]
- $26 [discount]
=$36.47 [total after discount]

That’s $12.16 per Blu-ray!

That’s INSANE!!! I wish I didn’t already own Up on Blu-ray because I’d buy this in a heartbeat! Hell, I might do it anyway, since doing this is still cheaper than buying the Blu-ray of Monster’s Inc and Cars on their own ($36.47 divided by 2 = $18.23, which is cheaper than both items).

Note, there’s no date indicating the end of the sale, so get in on this one while you can. And if you’re wondering what I think about Up, just read my recent review of the DVD/Blu-ray Combo Pack.
