War Machine Appears In First Official ‘Iron Man 2′ Poster

The Movie God   |    |

War Machine

Paramount Pictures has revealed the first official poster for the highly-anticipated mega-sequel, Iron Man 2 via Yahoo!. The poster is fairly basic, as most first posters tend to be. However, there is one fairly exciting addition to the poster that will have fans buzzing, and that of course, is War Machine. This, our first real glance at the popular character and creation of friend-turned-foe James Rhodes (Don Cheadle), simply shows War Machine standing back-to-back with Iron Man, gun ready and eyes glowing red. It is expected that Rhodes creates the suit in order to combat Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) creation when Stark refuses to offer his own suit as a military weapon.

Iron Man 2 also stars Gwyneth Paltrow who is returning as Pepper Potts, and Samuel L. Jackson back as Nick Fury. New members of the impressive cast include Mickey Rourke as Whiplash, Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer, and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow.

Iron Man 2 will be released on May 7, 2010.

  1. Slipstream Says:

The change to red eyes makes him look evil. Perhaps it’s story based and will change to blue/white later in the film.

  2. PAUL Says:

Movie poster shows red eyes but the picture at top of the article shows blue eyes…

  3. Slipstream Says:

I believe that was a fan’s shop job.

  4. PAUL Says:

LOL! So it is! Amazing how realistic some fake photos look these days. Regarding red eyes though, I’ve seen War Machine appear with both colors in the comics but don’t know in what context (good, bad or otherwise). He does look menacing though!

  5. The Movie God Says:

Yes, top image made the rounds a while back, but it’s not official.

    Definitely a decent job, though.
