HBO Unveils Trailer & Image For George R.R. Martin Adaptation ‘Game Of Thrones’

The Movie God   |  @   |

Production on the much-buzzed HBO adaptation of George R.R. Martin‘s A Song of Ice and Fire series only just began this month with a debut set for some time in 2011. That wait will be excruciating for we who are dying to see what the ten-episode fantasy series will look like, but thankfully we shall not wait blindly.

HBO has just released the very first teaser trailer and image for the series, called Game of Thrones. It will be based on the first book in the series, and if all goes well (as it better) each new season will be based on another of the series’ seven eventual titles.

Head on over to the other side as quickly as possible to watch this bad boy. Click the image above to check out the first image as well!

Game of Thrones stars Sean Bean, Peter Dinklage, and Lena Headey among many others.

Synopsis

Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun.

It will stretch from the south where heat breeds plots, lusts and intrigues; to the vast and savage eastern lands; all the way to the frozen north, where an 800-foot wall of ice protects the kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men…all will play the ‘Game of Thrones.’

  1. I’m really psyched about this! Though that means I actually have to get up off it & start reading this series. I’ve had it on my bookshelf forever….

  4. I am a little disappointed myself. George R.R. Martin’s Fire and Ice series deserves an epic theater production trilogy not a television series. This would have been bigger than Harry Potter and LOTR combined at the box office!!!!

  5. So excited to see these! And for the next book as well. Hope the show gets a good size following. A big screen trilogy would be great, but I’ll take what I can get!
