It seems fitting to celebrate tax day, April 15th, with Ghostface hacking and slashing his way through more victims in Scream 4.
The first Scream was a clever little piece of film making that unfortunately ripped the heart out of horror films for years after its release. Instead of getting horror films we got tons of “me too” goofy horror films and wanna be hip riffs on horror. That’s a lot of baggage to pile on one movie but that just proves the impact that Scream had.
The two men responsible for that first film, director Wes Craven and writer Kevin Williamson, have re-teamed for Scream 4. Wouldn’t it be great if they found some new sort of trend to start in the genre? Also returning for the fourth installment in the franchise are David Arquette, Neve Campbell, and Courteney Cox.
We’ll all know what they have up their sleeves for us on April 15, 2011. We have the first official TV spot for the upcoming film. Check it out below and let us know if you’ll give this film a look.
I hope it’s better than ‘My Soul To Take’ which was a huge piece of trash after Wes Craven’s 5 year hiatus from horror films. Reviving the hits of his past is a good move for him.

After the Scary Movie franchise I have trouble taking that voice seriously.
