Dying to get your eyes on HBO’s brand new fantasy series, Game of Thrones, but can’t wait until the show debuts on April 17th?
You’re not alone in your impatient suffering and HBO seems to know how twitchy everyone is to finally see the show. As an appetizer of sorts a special preview has been released online to help to hold you over for a couple more weeks, showing off the first 14 minutes of the pilot episode, which is titled “Winter is Coming.”
You can see the preview right now by continuing on over to the other side, but keep in mind this isn’t your average Lord of the Rings fantasy — things get pretty graphic in just the first few minutes and should be considered NSFW.
After you watch the preview, be sure to share your thoughts below. Especially those of you who have read the books; does everything look up to par or are still uncertain?
Looks great. It seems like they’ve captured the essence of the North perfectly. Sean Bean is effortlessly Ned, but if I’m nitpicking I had imagined Catelyn to be slightly younger and fairer.
Can’t wait.. and the sooner the season is done with, the sooner we get ADWD :)
Looks solid. I just hope it’s not too dark for most people to watch. But I’m sure the loyal fans will rally and give it strong ratings.
It’s been years since I’ve read it, but so far looks VERY much like you’d imagine. It’s just too bad Jennifer Ehle had to drop as Kate Stark. She would have been amazing.
